* For those of you who are not aware, we did name the unborn baby Murray. This is an open letter to my child.
Dear Baby:
I never understood fully the phrase 'a mother's love' and I still don't. But I do know that even now, before we've even officially met... I love you completely. Every little movement you make and every little kick I feel - reminds me that you are coming soon. In about 3 months we're going to meet for the first time. I'm going to be one of the many people who love you, care for you, and treasure you. Did you know you're going to have 4 aunts and 4 uncles? All of them are sooo excited to meet you. Some of them want to know as soon as we go to the hospital so they can be there to welcome you.
You are a very lucky little one. You are much anticipated and much dreamed about. Daddy loves feeling my belly when you kick and giving you goodnight kisses. He's going to be a great Daddy for you. I'm hoping to be a great Mommy too! I've been reminded time and again that at first it will be hard. I won't get a lot of sleep at first because you're going to need me often. But you know what? The thought that I'm going to be one of the people you are going to rely on so much at first brings me smiles. I'm going to love caring for you. I might not always enjoy it - Mommy will get tired.... But I will always alway always adore you.
I don't know if you're a little son or daughter - but either way Daddy and I will do our best to raise you well. You will learn about Jesus and how to grow up to be a responsible adult... hopefully. We're going to teach you things that are important to us. We might not always see eye to eye, but I will never ever stop loving you, my baby.
We can't wait to meet you!

You make me want to cry. That is so sweet. The baby will cherish this letter when he or she is older and perhaps having their own children.
Must be those extra pregnancy hormones making you so sentimental!! HA...
Murray isn't an actual name possibility... Is it?
Murray is about as far from a name possibility as humanly possible.
Beautiful letter Sara! I still have some of those pregnancy hormonese kicking around so this letter did bring a tear to my eye.
This baby is one special child to have you and Nate for parents! :-)
Okay good to hear Murray isn't a name choice... Sorry to all you Murray's out there but hmm, well what can I say!
