On Monday I received an email that broke my heart. Quite a few years ago at Burnett Fellowship we had a pastor by the name of Terry Stauffer. It was kind of a funny coincidence that a few years later we had another pastor named Terry Stauffer, but that's an aside. The email I received was a urgent prayer request for Terry #1 and his family as his oldest daughter was assaulted in her town of Edson, Alberta and died of her injuries. She was only 14. Even though I don't remember meeting her, I am devastated for her parents and siblings. May they feel the arms of Jesus. Words never seem enough at times like this.

I got this email too. What a horrific thing. It's nonsensical and so very sad for that family.
I heard about it on the radio this week - it makes you long for heaven doesn't it?
